JSCC SCHOLARSHIP WINNER EMILY MOVES FROM AUTOGRASS TO CIRCUITS

The Junior Saloon Car Championship has announced that Emily Glanvill is its winner of their Teenage Cancer Trust Scholarship…

Silverstone circuit hosted the championships scholarship event for 14 to 17 year olds last week (18th February) a specially organised event consisting of a media test, fitness challenge and driving assessment as participants fought to win a fully supported drive in the 2016 Junior Saloon Car Championship.

Also in attendance was 2015 Ginetta Supercup Champion, now British GT racer Tom Oliphant who spoke to the young drivers about life as a professional driver and during the day, Andrew Bisping of GoMotorsport discussed the MSA’s Race ‘n’ Respect campaign.

At the end of the event, three finalists were selected, Luke Browning, Angus Dudley and Emily Glanvill and following an interview by a panel of JSCC judges, Emily was announced as their winner.

Emily has a background in Autograss racing so competing on the circuits will be a whole new experience for the young racer as she prepares for the first meeting of the season, Oulton Park on Saturday 19^th March.

The Junior Saloon Car Championship will be raising funds and awareness for the Teenage Cancer Trust throughout the 2016 season.
