Goodwood Breakfast Club ‘Full Throttle’

Sunday saw the hosting of the “Full Throttle” Breakfast Club event down at Goodwood motor circuit as part of a preview to this year’s Festival of Speed event theme of “Full Throttle – The Endless Pursuit of Power”

It was a fantastically sunny morning down at the Circuit which bought the crowds out in great numbers for this free event to see some of the worlds’ rarest and most powerful supercars. The highlight for many was the appearance of the “Lark” McLaren P1 GTR which was fresh from the Lanzante workshops being recently modified for road use. This car being only the 14th P1 GTR to be converted was a huge draw for petrolheads and carspotters alike in its stunning Lark colours based on the Lark McLaren F1 GTR under the same ownership.

In the paddocks there were a huge array of marques for every fan from a Ferrari F40 to a Lancia Integrale. This was a great event to kick start the Summer festival season at Goodwood with the main event the Festival of Speed only 3 weeks away on the 23rd – 26th June. Festival of Speed 2016 is looking to be a classic with such cars on show as the championship winning BrawnGP car being driven up the hillclimb by Martin Brundle.
