Legends of Brands Hatch Super Prix

It will be a 24-race line-up across three days this weekend (1st/3rd July) as the Historic Sports Car Club Legends of Brands Hatch Super Prix takes place at the famous Kent circuit…

This years Legends programme will include races for the HSCC Historic Formula 2 FIA International Series, the HSCC Super Touring Car Trophy and the Pre 80 Endurance Series – expect to see some familiar cars from the World Endurance Championship of the 1970s.

This two day meeting will include a race on both days for the F2 and Super Touring Cars, while the Pre-1980 cars will have 50 minute race on the Saturday. Also to be enjoyed this weekend will be the GT and Sports Car Cup which will have a 50-minute race on the Saturday but adding to the sights and sounds, HGPCA (Historic Grand Prix Cars Association) will have two races for pre-1966 Grand Prix cars….Maserati 250F’s on full chat should never be missed!

The Formula Juniors will be out ‘en-masse’ with over 100 entries filling 3 grids for a special race celebrating the single seater category. In the F3’s, a large number of French drivers and cars will be racing this weekend, enjoying a two race meeting in the Classic Formula 3 Championship and joining them will be the Historic Formula 3 Championship whose drivers will also be competing over this double header weekend.

The Derek Bell Trophy will see F5000’s and the swift F2 Atlantic cars tackle two races and compete for the Historic Race of Champions – one of the circuits most famous honours. Sports and GT cars of the 1960’s will compete in a 40-minute Guards Trophy race and a big grid is expected for this well known race.

The paddock will be filled with FF1600, Historic Touring Cars, 70s Road Sports, Historic Road Sports, Classic and Historic FF2000 and various other classic racing cars for what has the making of another great HSCC race weekend.
