The Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival

The Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival has quickly become one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of historic motorcycling, attracting a massive line-up of hundreds of racing machines, huge off track displays and numerous stars of the sport.

A fantastic event with some cracking racing and bikes on show. The festival was held over 3 days with the likes of Steve Parrish, Steve Baker, Jim Redman, Stan Woods (Winner if the first bike race when the circuit reopened in the 70’s) Sammy Miller, with a couple of bikes from his great collection and Charlie Williams a multiple TT winner.

The festival had over 500 classic bikes racing in 50 races over the 3 days , plus parades and feature parades. The Exhibition hall hosted the MC Clubs Show with the VJMC stand showing over 60 bikes from Ducati, Laverda and bikes from British owners clubs. On Saturday night Steve Parrish and friends did a show in the Senna Fangio suite in which the regaled great series of the past.
