HSCC Historic Formula 2 2017 Calendar

HSCC (Historic Sports Car Club) has announced its plans for its 2017 Historic Formula 2 FIA International Series, the club is organising a six event series which will give teams and drivers the chance to drive on some of Europe’s most famous circuits…

Cars built to period regulations for Formula 2, Formula Atlantic and Formula B, starting from 1967 through to the end of 1978 are all elligiable to compete in what will be the 50th birthday of the first 1600cc season of F2 regs. Some big names won these early championships including with Jacky Ickx in a Matra MS7 taking the first championship win, with the likes of Aussie Frank Gardner in a Brabham BT23C and legend Jean-Pierre Beltoise in a Matra MS7 all in hot pursuit.

2017 will see 10 races held over 5 meetings and includes a non-championship round, a 6th meeting opportunity at the Grand Prix de Pau Historique which will take place over the 27th and 28th of May. Donington Historic Festival over the weekend of the 28th and 30th of April kick starts a promising season.
