AMOC Racing Brands Hatch

The Aston Martin Owners Club showcased a wide a range grids from the Pre-War Team Challenge, open to cars built between 1919 and 1941, the AMOC 50s Sports Cars which also included the XK Challenge, along with the AMOC GT Challenge and the AMOC Intermarque Championship which had racers in a selection of cars that included not just Astons but Porsche’s and Ferrari’s. The Innes Ireland Cup for pre 66 GT and Touring Cars also competed at this one day meeting.

Since 2012 the club has worked with MSVR and there have been some spectacular meetings, including the Aston Martin Centenary meeting and the AMOC 80th Anniversary Celebration. This year the grids were not so large with the Innes Ireland Cup only showing a five car race, the largest grid being that of the AMOC Intermarque Championship and the AMOC 50s Sports Cars Challenge.

The grids may have been small but the racing was still close and enjoyable, especially when watching the Pre War cars, an utterly different racing experience compared to the more modern stuff, decent dry weather was enjoyed by all.
