TRAX 2017 at Silverstone

Last Sunday (1st October) saw the return of TRAX to Silverstone and despite the damp conditions, thousands of enthusiasts headed to the Northamptonshire circuit to enjoy this massive modified car display…

A stunning array of stunning cars, lovingly modified by their owners who clearly spend copious amounts of time, love and energy and not to mention plenty of cash, keeping their pride and joys in mint condition.

Car clubs are at the heart of this event which has been steadily growing for over 20 years and this year saw over 4000 club cars on display. There was all-day action on and off the famous circuit with breathtaking drift demos from the BDC and you could get up close and personal in the BDC pit area behind the Brooklands building getting the chance to savour the engineering that goes into these hard charging cars

Also there was the Show and Shine area where if your ride made the grade you could be in with a chance of winning silverware along with the prestige of trophy and showing your car in the Show & Shine paddock area.

Sandwiched between the track action and thousands of club cars, the trade area was packed with everything you need for your transform and develop your motor. TRAX is the place to be to put your car through its paces with public track time throughout the day. New for the 2017 event was the launch of the celebration of the humble hot hatch, plus there was a chance for one lucky fan to win a Honda S2000 GT. Right where did I put that turtle wax….
