750 Motor Club – Donington Park

The 750 Motor Club season came to a close at Donington Park last weekend. (30th September – 1st October)

Champions were crowned amongst challenging weather conditions, with many twists and turns along the way. With drizzle in the air from the start of the weekend, qualifying was always going to be a difficult and slippery task. The majority of drivers managed it with only a few off track moments!

With races starting in the dry, there was one champion crowned in the afternoon with M3 cup driver Adam Shepherd winning with a round to spare. Sunday was a wet track to start with, this quickly dried throughout the day. Lee Deegan was crowned the Civic Cup champion with a round to spare in a nail biting race coming from a collision on track to win by 8.5 seconds! Ben Rushworth gave it everything in the Hot Hatch championship but couldn’t match the power of Alistair Camp who came home to win the class A championship. It was a throughly enjoyable season following the 750 Motor Club, with the clubs last race the 6 hour Birkett at the end of the month to conclude the 2017 season..
