Harewood Speed Hillclimb Practice Day 2018

The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC), Yorkshire Centre held its regular Harewood Speed Hillclimb Practice Day as part of its programme before the competitive start for the 2018 Championship…

The event included an entry of 80 or so competitors including a number of new faces, competing along side some of the regulars from the 2017 Championship. Though a number of the 2017 regulars gave the day a miss, maybe still not having completed work on the car or saving it for the first Championship meeting of 2018 season, the Spring National Hillclimb meeting on Sunday 15th April.

Practice got underway with some nice pleasant early spring sunshine but with a cool breeze. This kept the old track temperatures down, the track had been due to be resurfaced during the closed season but had to postponed due to the bad weather. Also another casualty of the weather was the Harewood Marshals Training day a couple of weekends before, this was cancelled due to snow.
