Britcar round 2 – Praga and Ferrari victories

Round 2 of the Britcar Championship took place on the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit…

There was a field of 29 cars for these races in the damp and very windy Northamptonshire countryside. The opening pace was set by the VR Motorsport Praga R1T but a spin on the pace lap sent it to the rear of the grid. The Praga did however manage to get back to the front and won the race from the Class 2 Ferrari 488 Challenges of HPR and FF Corse.

Race 2 had the Praga at the head of the field but it had a bolt shear on the rear wing forcing them to retire. Leaving the podium to be an all Ferrari affair. 1st FF Corse Charlie Hollings and Wayne Marrs. 2nd HPR Paul Bailey and Andy Schultz. 3rd FF Corse David Mason and Ross Wylie.
