Elliott takes the win on the BHRC Mid Wales Stages…

Sunday saw round 2 of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship and the Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical Mid Wales Stages. Nick Elliott and Dave Price took the win on the gravel stages piloting their Mk2 Escort against a field of 82 cars.

The weather had a role to play, tough conditions with plenty of heavy rain, wind and even sleet and snow but the pair made few mistakes finishing 28s ahead of Matthew Robinson & Sam Collis and championship newcomers Joe Price and Chris Brooks over the 4 stages.

Other category winners included, Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke, again in a Mk2 Escort who secured 4th position overall retaining their championship lead of category K. Meanwhile David Stokes and Guy Weaver in a Mk1 Escort and Rikki Proffitt and James Whitaker in a Porsche 911 also won their categories.
