Team BKR confirm 3yr deal with Team BMR

Team BKR are have agreed a 3yr deal this week with BTCC’s Team BMR to enable the Basildon based team to take control of six NGTC specification cars – all of which have been previously raced by the likes of Plato, Turkington & Goff.

The six racers include VW CC’s and two Vauxhall Insignia’s and are planned to be competing in the new B-TEC Series will run at six national meetings and consist of 12 races starting at Brands in late March. Team BMR are currently re-building the cars t0 the required regs that will include G.P.R.M sub frames and a power plant swop to the lower BHP Swindon engines. Ultimately the winner of the championship will receive a BTCC test at the end of the season.

Team BKR had been looking for a T.B.L at the end of last season which unfortunately did not happen however this new opportunity could easily prove to to be a far better option for the Basildon based team.

The main point is that this championship remains ‘club motorsport’ and the championship is open for drivers of all abilities and clearly an ideal platform for those wanting to one day make the step to BTCC. Therefore the teams are very keen to discuss options with interested drivers of all abilities – racing in a series with this profile is clearly not an opportunity to be missed!
