750 Motor Club Donington Park

Donington Park welcomed the 750 Motor Club last weekend (1st/2nd October) as drivers battled to secure the last few points of the 2016 season…

By the end of this month the 750MC would have run 17 circuit meetings this year as the famous ‘Birkett Relay‘ at Silverstone on the 22nd October concludes what has been another successful season for the club that launched in 1939. Last weekend the downpour, experienced by many across the country, was so bad that races had to be stopped as conditions worsened dramatically but by Sunday the sun was out and the weather ensured fine racing could be enjoyed. It was a 20 race meeting held over the two days with a broad mix of saloons and sports cars with the M3 Cup, Classic Interseries, Civic Cup, MR2’s, Hot Hatch, Stock Hatch, Sport Specials, MX5 Cup, Roadsports, Bikesports and RGB Championships.
