BRSCC Race Day & Fun Cup Championship

With 32 cars lined up on the grid for the Fun Cup 6 hour at Snetterton the racing was going to be nothing but entertaining for the spectator.

The race took place on the Snetterton 300 circuit, with pole position being occupied by Julian Thomas of Racelogic. Alongside him were championship contenders Team Trooper Iron Maiden, perhaps the biggest surprise saw current champions JPR UVio down on the 10th row.

The day started of in bright sunny conditions but mid afternoon heavy rain and thunder put a stop to the proceedings, conditions so bad that the safety car had to be deployed until the worse of the weather had passed.

At the end of the day grid placing didn’t matter too much as victory went to JPR UVio with 136 laps under their belt while Team Trooper Iron Maiden brought their car home in second place keeping their championship title hopes alive.

Also on the bill we had races from the CAR Magazine Caterham Academy. Placed into two groups (Green & White) with two qualifying periods and two races. The Academy boys did their job and warmed up the spectators for the main event!
