NSCC Blyton Park Eastern Circuit Sprint

Blyton Park Circuit played host to the Nottingham Sports Car Club (NSCC), using the Eastern Circuit for a Sprint event on Saturday 2nd September 2017.

It is hoped that this event will be a replacement for the Thorsby Park Sprint, which was lost to the club, a couple of years ago due to subsidence of the track. It has been all change at Blyton as UK sports and racing car manufacturer Ginetta bought the circuit back in March this year and they have plans to add additional track configurations, plus improve and develop the facilities for competitors.

The weekends meeting was due to start at 9:00 but was delayed for an hour and a half due to fog, but once dispersed, the sun shone though, it was fortunately remained for the rest of the day.

The organisers managed two practice runs followed by seven timed runs despite this inital delayed start. Competing with NSCC members were also a number of competitors from the TVR Speed Championship and Classic Marques Speed Championship.
