Jack Neal Memorial Rally At Blyton Park

Jack Neal Memorial Rally took place at Blyton Park Circuit on Saturday 10th February 2018…

It is a single venue, stage rally featuring approximately 40 stage miles, with 10 Special Stages all within the confines of the Blyton Park Circuit’s smooth tarmac and concrete run off areas. The afternoon stages would including running the track in reverse to the normal Sprint events.

During the morning the temperature was in single figures and with a wet track making for tricky conditions for the competitors., but thankfully by the afternoon stages had got underway the track had started to dry out assisted by the cold wind.

The rally was Round 1 of the following championships; ANEMMC, EMAMC and SD34, with an entry list of 59 drivers including many popular clubman cars such as the Ford Escort, Mitsubishi Evo’s, Subaru Impreza’s and various BMW’s, and Peugeot’s.

The organizing club was the Clitheroe & District Motor Club and the event was won by Tom Morris with Colin Harkness Co-driving in a MG Metro 6R4, with forty nine others classified as finishers.
