Penalty stops Sparrow double at Oulton Park…

Race 1 Pete Sparrow was first over the line in race 1 at Oulton Park, but a penalty following contact with Ainslie Bousfield on the last lap dropped Pete Sparrow to fifth. This meant the podium for race one was as follows. Lien Davies on the top step, Nick roads on the second step, it was also Nick’s first ever podium. The last step on the podium was taken by Matt Hollis. DNF’s from three usual front runners Alec Graham, Sandro Proitti and Nick Crispin meant other people managed higher placings in the results table.

Race 2 was a very close race with the lead changing hands from Pete Sparrow to Brian Heerey to Luca Proietti with Tom Perry always in close contention. The final result was Pete Sparrow on the top step, Luca Proitti on the second step and Tom Perry taking the third step on the podium.

This leaves only one more sprint race event at Donington Park before heading off to Snetterton for the 24 hour race.
