Oulton Park Winter Testing

The build up to the 2019 season continued at Oulton Park this week, with teams from a wide variety of championships taking advantage of some early spring sunshine to gain some experience at the Cheshire circuit.

A host of single seater and GT cars were out testing, with the opening races of the season just a few weeks away. Century Motorsport held the first proper test of their brand new BMW M6 GT3 car, following a successful shakedown at Silverstone last week. Adrian Wilmot and Jack Mitchell completed 65 laps of running, giving the team and drivers valuable experience ahead of the British GT media at Donington on 5th March. Other British GT teams out testing included the Invictus Games Racing Jaguar squad, and the local WPI Motorsport team in their GTC class bound Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.

Track Focused were again testing at Oulton Park, this time with a Porsche Cayman GT4 and Ferrari 488 Challenge, both of which will be seen racing in Britcar this year.

In the single seater sessions, Double R Racing tested a pair of British Forumla 4 cars, and Graham Brunton made the trip down from Scotland to test a pair of classic F3 cars, including the lovely ex-Martin Brundle Ralt RT3 from 1983.
